Lately, I’ve been thinking more deeply about what truly inspires me—not just what I like, but what moves me enough to pick up a pencil or brush. These are the things I return to again and again in my art: what lifts me, motivates me, stirs my emotions. These are what I hope to express… Continue reading Drawing the Seasons, Dreaming in Colour – My Artistic Inspiration

Sunshine, Sea, and a Splash of Paint: Creating My Summer State of Mind
I’m drawn to those summer colours: the yellows, oranges, pinks, reds, purples, and whites of flowers in full bloom, climbing or cascading under the sun’s gaze. Those colours alone can transport me to a Greek island or a Spanish coastline—the contrast of white against deep blue, jade green against soft ochre, vibrant magentas trailing up shaded walls. Then there’s the sensation of sand or grass underfoot, the sound of distant birdsong or the gentle lapping of waves. Summer really is a feast for the senses.
Finding my why: My Artist Manifesto
I make art because I feel a pull—a deep, instinctive need to respond to the things in the world that spark something in me. A buzz. That buzz is gratitude. It's appreciation. It's love, obsession, and joy. Art is how I translate that feeling. Drawing is how I switch off the noise. Painting is how… Continue reading Finding my why: My Artist Manifesto
Starting a Nature Journal
I’ve found a new way to connect my love of art with the natural world: by starting a nature journal. It won’t be perfect, or even pretty at times—and that’s exactly the point. This journal is about learning: observing nature more closely, improving my drawing and writing skills, spending more time outside, and becoming more… Continue reading Starting a Nature Journal

How can I present my version of this to the world?
Lost and Found: Reflections from an Artist’s Year
The artist’s mind is often a bit of a nightmare to fathom. It’s a storm of ideas, methods to try, techniques to explore, and creative roads waiting to be wandered—all at once. It’s hard to see the whole picture when you’re knee-deep in the paint. That’s why, after the chaos of Christmas commissions, I treasure… Continue reading Lost and Found: Reflections from an Artist’s Year
To Change Direction: A New Chapter in My Art
Lately, I’ve been thinking about taking my art in a slightly different direction. A shift, a shake-up—it feels like it could do wonders for my practice. It’s always a bit of a challenge, stepping out of the comfort zone, but those surprises that emerge when I try something new are often the best part. I… Continue reading To Change Direction: A New Chapter in My Art
