Finding Quiet Wonder in Nature
I'm Vicky Dolan, a British artist creating original oil and mixed media paintings inspired by the changing seasons, British wildlife and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments.
For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to nature. Whether it's the changing colours of autumn, a bird resting on a garden fence, or sunlight filtering through woodland trees, I'm constantly inspired by the moments that are so easily overlooked in our busy lives.
Through my paintings, I hope to encourage others to slow down, look a little closer and rediscover the quiet wonder that surrounds us.
Working primarily in oils and mixed media, I enjoy combining expressive brushwork with rich colour and texture to capture not only what I see, but how a place or moment feels.
Alongside my work as an artist, I've spent over twenty-five years as a graphic designer, a career that has given me a strong appreciation for composition, colour and visual storytelling. Today, I'm focusing more intentionally on developing my fine art practice and creating collections that celebrate nature and the changing seasons.
When I'm not painting, you'll usually find me walking, filling sketchbooks, reading, visiting beautiful places or writing about my creative journey in my journal.
